Make sure you have Visual Studio Code installed. If you don’t have it yet, download it from the official website and follow the instructions for your operating system.
- If you've already downloaded VSCode, update it to the latest version!
Download CodeGPT's Extension
Let's begin by downloading the extension here, or you can do it through VSCode directly by following these steps:
Open VSCode.
Click on the Extensions icon on the left sidebar (you can use the CTRL+Shift+X, for Windows or ⌘+Shift+X, for macOS).
Search for CodeGPT in the marketplace and install it.
After installation, you may need to restart VSCode.
Once the extension is installed, you can access it from the sidebar. Click on the CodeGPT icon to open it.
How do I connect my CodeGPT account to the extension?
This allows you to use the customized agents or the ones from the marketplace you previously created in the Studio but now on your code!
To use the extension to its fullest potential, click on the User icon in the upper-right corner of the extension and select Create Account (if you haven't already) or Sign in.
This will open a CodeGPT-Studio window for you to log in, or create an account.
If you were already logged in your browser you can return to VSCode and start to use CodeGPT's Extension for VSCode!
Remember!
Please make sure that port 54112 or 54113 is available, as CodeGPT requires these ports. If these ports are not available, the extension may fail to run.
