Updated yesterday

This tutorial will guide you through the steps to successfully integrate the CodeGPT widget into your WordPress site. Follow these instructions to ensure a smooth installation and setup process.

Step 1: Verify Your WordPress Version

First, confirm whether you are using the official version of WordPress. This is crucial for compatibility with the CodeGPT widget.

Step 2: Install the Required Plugin

If you are not using the official version of WordPress, we recommend this version. Remember to enable the required permissions during the installation process. Regardless of your WordPress version, you need to install the necessary plugin.

  1. Install the Plugin:

    • Navigate to your WordPress dashboard.

    • Go to the "Plugins" section.

    • Click on "Add New" and search for the required plugin.

    • Install and activate the plugin.

  2. Start Your Site:

    • After installing the plugin, click on "Start Site".

Step 3: Access Your Site and Plugin Settings

  1. Open Your Site:

    • Go to the URL http://test.local/ or click on "Open site".

    • Hover over the name of your site (e.g., "test") and click on "Plugins."

  2. Locate the Installed Plugin:

    • You should see the plugin you just installed in the list.

Step 4: Configure the Widget

  1. Access Plugin Settings:

    • Click on "Settings" to install the plugin.

  2. Insert the Widget Script:

    • Paste the script for the CodeGPT widget into the header section.

    • Refer to the image below for guidance on where to paste the script.

Save Your Changes:

  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Save."

Step 5: Ensure HTTPS is Enabled

For security reasons, make sure your browser uses HTTPS. If you use HTTP, the widget will not be displayed on your site. You can manually modify the URL to https://test.local
